“BIPOC” Sticker

On May 20th and 21st, 2023, I hosted Lancaster's first BIPOC Gallery Row Artwalk Exhibition. In May 2022, I received a grant for strategic planning and professional development to equip me with the tools to plan a successful event which amplified BIPOC artists in a space that feels safe and liberating. As a Black artist, I felt there was never really a space for us to feel included and celebrated in Lancaster's art and cultural scene. We are often overlooked, the least paid and underfunded and I wanted to evoke the change I want to see by creating this event to celebrate all that we are and all that we do. The art for this event was created by local Hispanic artist; Adam Serrano.
